RE: Install DocuWare On-Premise, but in Azure Cloud
Hi Pedro, Hi Simon,
Since DocuWare Version 7.2 you can install and run DocuWare On-Premises on a Microsoft Windows powered VM in an Azure environment.
AWS is not supported.
However if you run DocuWare in a multi server environment (Scaling Form M-XL), you need to use the Azure Service Bus. For this a special configuration is required.
You'll find more information here:

RE: New cloud based Active Directory Synch - what is the default password?
Hi Joann,
when creating DocuWare users, the UserSync app assigns passwords randomly for security reasons.
The users must reset their passwords. An e-mail is automatically sent for this.
If you use Single Sign-On in DocuWare Cloud 7.3, the DocuWare password is irrelevant.

RE: Single Sign On mit DW 7.3 in der Cloud auch über Api?
Hallo Herr Kreft,
Nein, das ist aktuell nicht möglich. Aktuell gelten weiterhin die bisherigen Authentifizierungs-Möglichkeiten via API:
z.B. https://developer.docuware.com/dotNet_CodeExamples/8ecbfe35-9182-4acc-833e-ac0f1857347e.html

RE: User email address with Active Directory Synchronization
Hi Nicole,
if you are using the User Sync V1 from DocuWare Administration you need to choose the correct attribute for the email address.
See https://support.docuware.com/en-us/knowledgebase/article/KBA-34329
If you are using User Sync V2 (Desktop App) the email address is transferred automatically -
RE: Clean up User accounts -> csv file?
Hi Keith,
you can try to get the users via the REST API and import them into e.g. Microsoft Office Excel
- Login to DocuWare as Administrator
- In a new tab open https:// ... /DocuWare/Platform/Organization/Users
- Right click and Save as XML file
- In Microsoft Office Excel import the XML file via Data > Get Data > From File > From XML
see screenshot attached

RE: DocuWare Request v7.2 on premises
Hi Steve,
this problem occurs if you are not using a storage location pointing to an UNC or FTP.
See http://help.docuware.com/en/#t64880
"The Request file cabinets must be stored in a central storage location that the users access for the download. If the server and client machine are in the same network, you can set up a storage location with a UNC connection. Otherwise, you need an FTP server. You can set up a storage location in DocuWare Administration at system level under the item Storage locations. Specify Type:File system and Used for: DocuWare Request. Make sure that you do not enter a local path, but rather a UNC path, such as \\computer\requestshare, or an FTP directory. The FTP directory must be password-protected. When entering a path for an FTP directory, use the following syntax: ftp://adminName:adminPassword@server-name/subdir/"

RE: New Workflow User License
Gilles, you are absolutely right.
Editing documents is not possible, this includes adding non workflow-stamps as well as any annotations on it.

RE: New Workflow User License
Yes, the user will not be able to store or edit documents and index entries manually.
The user will be able to perform following operations in all available clients:
Workflow Tasks- Edit and submit tasks via workflow form or workflow stamp
- Show workflow history
- Search for archived documents and display them
- Show index entries
- Export documents: download, print, send as email
- Show document history
- Retrieve link to document
- Work with lists and result lists
- send as email, export as Request, retrieve link to (result) list, export as CSV file
- Save a search as list
- Fill in a form and submit it (store)
The license is available in addition to the cloud packages "Professional II," "Enterprise II," and "Large Enterprise II."
