Flag Duplicate Documents

How can I configure DocuWare to flag for duplicate documents when a user is trying to store a document that already exists within the system? I want DocuWare to be able to flag the user before they proceed to store the duplicate document. Kindly assist.

this is only possible using a REST Validation Webservice on storing the document.

Can you kindly provide more details on this. I am not too familiar with REST Webservice but if you can provide some links or detailed information on how I can implement this, it will be very helpful.
