Hallo Frau Modrzejewska,
wenn Sie mit der Desktop App von Excel bearbeiten, dann erfolgt die Bearbeitung rein lokal iund es wird bis zum schließen der Datei nichts an DocuWare Cloud zurückgesendet. Technisch wird beim Bearbeiten-Befehl eine DocuWare Desktop-App angesprochen, das entsprechende Dokument herunterzuladen. Die Datei wird in einem temporären Verzeichnis gespeichert und mit der Datei das Bearbeitungsprogramm (in diesem Fall Excel) geöffnet. Die DocuWare Desktop-App überwacht dann die Datei ob sie vom Bearbeitungsprogramm gesperrt ist. Sobald die Sperre aufgehobven ist (was normalerweise passiert, wenn man die Datei schließt oder das Programm beendet) dann wir die Datei wieder zu DocuWare hochgeladen und lokal gelöscht.
Es können dabei verschiedene Fehler auftreten, die man sich jeweils genauer anschauen muss, dies geht am besten in einem Supportfall.
Ab Version 7.4 der DocuWare Cloud ist es nun auch möglich Office Dokumente im Browser zu bearbeiten, wenn der Benutzer auch eine entsprechende Microsoft 365-Lizenz hat. Vielleicht ist das ja eine Alternative für die Zukunft.

if I understand you correctly this should be possible. There are two ways of dealing with folder names in DocuWare Import:- Decide where to store based on folder name
In this case you need to activate "Select configuration automatically as specified on "Processing" " on the "Source" tab and then switch to the "Processing" tab to select the area "Identification". You can then select the folder name as an identification option. Additionally the target file cabinet is selected on the "Target" tab. - Use the folder name as index entry
For every index field in a file cabinet you can select the folder name and event the parent folder name. You have to click on the plus icon below the index field and choos "Dynamic entry", then you can choose the folder name.

Hi Rhys,
without further knowledge of the resulting documents, I think you probably have to train Intelligent Indexing with all the different varieties. One idea would also be to create some document containing ALL content and train Intelligent Indexing with these documents.
Is there no way to use the with Forms included Indexing possibilities?

personally I do not think, that a missing Desktop Apps update should stop triggering email notifications as these two topics are not connected to each other. I think you should contact our support to investigate this further.

während der Bearbeitung einer Aufgabe kann ein Benutzer weitere Dokumente an das bestehende Dokument anklammern. Im Kontextmenü der Aufgabe finden Sie dazu den Eintrag "Klammern". Danach können Sie einen Briefkorb öffnen und ein Dokument zum anklammern auswählen.

I assume you are asking about a web service for usage in the Workflow Manager?
First a web service just gets information from DocuWare, it is not possible to send a document directly to the web service. Given, that the Workflow sends the DocID and a FileCabinet GUID to the web service, the web service can then log into DocuWare and download the document by itself.

as soon as you can use Version 7.4 the filter options for dates are the same in event based and scheduled Autoindex.

as far as I know, all possibilities from the DocuWare Administration are also available in the new configuration. They might have a different naming, but should work the same. I do not know exactly how to configure "Withing the current year" but if it was possible before, it should be possible now also.

RE: Using Multi-Column Select List along with Default Select List
Hi Daryl,
from what I understand you could just use the default select list in general and disable the filtering for the last name and enable the filtering for the first name only on the last name. This way you should have the same functionality as when using external csv files. Additionally all users which have the right "Allow new entries" in the specific fields can add new names.
In preparation you probably need to "import" all your csv file entries as database entries into the file cabinet using Autoindex, (or just rely on manual entry during normal work).
If you have some other customer management system it might be also interesting to integrate this customer list dynamically into DocuWare by directly accessing this database.
